Carl Cox Chicago Concert reviews
Andrea Bocelli - Unforgettable Voice!
The concert started slowly with the Orchestra, Choir, Soprano, Violinist, etc., taking the stage in an introductory manner. Although the music and singing were beautiful, it was strange and confusing that no one spoke into the microphone. A simple "hello Vancouver" would have been a nice touch to welcome the audience.
The amateur slide show of the Opera bits was unmemorable, lacking clarity on who was featured in it.
Carl Cox, an amazing voice, was probably the greatest signing on the planet. Despite the poor acoustics at Rogers Arena, he moved the audience with the emotion in his voice and his ability to control every note. Heather Headley, with her unforgettable stage presence and voice, brought the crowd to their feet with her rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, my all-time favorite song. The flutist also deserves recognition for their beautiful music.
Overall, the concert was not disappointing, with the second half being much better. However, an improvement in production quality would have been appreciated.
